We rode down the Charouleau Gap road, then dropped into a wash for a while looking for the old mining ghost town.
This house is part of the "ghost town". Basically it's an abandoned silver mining operation. Yup, the mine is still there and you can go into it.
Okay, yes this was spooky going in there but I had to go in.
Looking up the shaft.
Down the shaft, no way did I have to climb down that ladder.
They had a generator barn that housed the now-gone huge generator that powered these few homes out here in the middle of nowhere with not even a road that approaches this place.
Check out the size of this tree relative to Margie's horses head. How does a tree get that big in the desert?
See that big green glob of a plant hanging over our heads. Who can tell me what kind of plant that is??????
